Rhys one of 1st Magor Scouts is a wheelchair user, he has been with 1st Magor group since Beaver age(6) and has enjoyed participating in as many activities as possible. He enjoys adventure and has recently slept under a tarp on the forest floor on a survival camp.
The scouts enjoy being outside completing a variety of activities as much as possible. To enable Rhys to attend as many events as safely as possible, the scouts have asked to fundraise, to raise funds for an off -road wheelchair to enable Rhys to join them in the forest and other locations where his current wheelchair is not suitable.
The scouts hope to manage to raise funds to either purchase a suitable wheelchair for Rhys and for other scouts to use if needed or to use the money to hire one suitable for each occassion.
The Scouts have planned a 5k Parkrun fundraiser, at Newport Riverfront on 18th May.
