Heidi's Breast Cancer Recovery Fund

Hi, my name is Heidi Wallace and I have breast cancer. I recently turned 50, and I thought things were going pretty good. I landed a dream job and my love of aviation was once again fulfilled. Then one day, all heck broke loose..... It was just supposed to be a random mammogram..... There just happened to be a mobile unit at my work. (Perhaps it was divine intervention?)

I made an appointment and had my boobies squished. (This is not the funnest of experiences as most ladies know. ) I figured I was done..... WRONG ANSWER!

Next came yet another mammogram followed by an ultrasound. Next the technician excused herself... ("This is bad" I thought. )

I was right. CANCER had reared her ugly head and proclaimed her presence in my left breast. There have been biopsies and more ultrasounds and mammograms. An MRI revealed invasive cancer in my right breast. I will be going in next week for surgery to get Beyonce, (she's to the left to the left ) and Dolly (because she didn't really have a song - but was found at the six o'clock position. It was close to 9to5 so my sister helped to name her) removed. Yes, I named my Breasts!

So here I am, a Navy veteran, a mother of two wonderful girls, and a wife to a great guy that I would choose above all guys to be with. I decided to do this Go Fund Me not for me really, but for them. I don't want my family to be burdened with costs beyond our means.  I don't want to be the subject of a "before the cancer life was better" Lifetime movie. I plan on fighting this with all that I am .

If my story has moved you in any way, please give to my fund. Know that I am not making light of cancer. Laughter is the best medicine and I am trying to beat this with a positive attitude! I am all in to beat this thing! I look forward to the day when I am free of cancer! There, I've put it out there for all to see.
