Carpe Diem India Trip

Hello everyone! As a lot of you know, I am planning on traveling to India for several months this coming September. In India, I will not only be learning ayurvedic medicine practices, studying yoga, visiting ahrams, and taking in all of the amazing chaos that is India- I will be volunteering at the Mother Theresa Home for the Destitute in Calcutta, and teaching Tibetan families  living in the hometown of the Dalai Lama how to read, write, and speak enough of the English language to participate in free trade. I will also be receiving 18 college credits from Portland State University, with classes ranging from The Role of Religion in Culture, to Womans Studies, to The United States As Seen From The Outside. I am confident that the three months I spend in India will be the most trying, difficult, and amazing months of my life, and I hope that this trip will allow me to not only serve as a positive and respectuful ambassador of the US but to also help me gain connections and skills that will help me in the future. 
      However, international travel does not come cheap! Even after all of the financial aid I have received, I still need to come up with around $8000 to pay for the trip. I am saving all of the money I earn from my job, but I still need help! If any of you would donate, I would be eternally grateful! Every dollar counts.
