Burton High School Band Fundraiser

In 2011, Phillip and Sala Burton High School started a band program with big dreams of providing the best music education program in the city. In three short years, our program grew from 80 students to 156 making us the largest public high school band in the city of San Francisco. We now also offer beginning band, jazz band, rock band, marching band, symphonic band, and percussion ensemble as a part of our comprehensive music program. The band has also received excellent and superior ratings at various music festivals and competitions throughout Northern California. *Please note that Burton has the ONLY marching band program in San Francisco!

Funding a large comprehensive program is expensive and can place a burden on the 74% of Burton students who are living near federal poverty levels. The Burton HS band creates extraordinary musical experiences that inspire community and excellence and gives outstanding musical education to many youth who might not otherwise have that opportunity.

We need your help to raise $6,500 to cover expenses this year for buses to our spring festival, a new percussion rack on wheels for our instruments, shoes for our uniforms, and music stands.
