Homeless To Housing

Hello, my name is Mrs. Evette Lavender, and me and my Husband (Blanton) were illegally pushed out of our home. Our landlord sold the house we were renting out from under us, and now we are homeless. We had to give away our dogs and move temporarily into a motel. I do have a Job, but my Husband is Unemployed, and with the one income, it's been very hard. In the midst of being evicted, we were threatened and my Husband was shot. So, we had to leave immediately and we were forced to leave a lot of our belongings behind. We also, have a pick - up truck that's not running. It needs another gas tank, whole exhaust system and new oil lines. We're very desperate right now because I have no family here in TN, and my Husband's family is not able to help us at this time. There aren't any shelters where we can stay together, and we're afraid to be split up in this very stressful time. We're working with an outreach worker to find housing we can afford, but we need some financial assistance to get our vehicle repaired, pay for a short term motel stay, and get our feet back under us. We know we can pull through this with some support from this great community! Anything anybody can do to help us in our time of need will be very appreciated.
