Greetings, I, Za'Kiya Epps am a junior at Mississippi State University majoring in Spanish (Primary) and Secondary Education (Secondary) with a current 3.38 GPA. I have applied and been accepted to study abroad through the AIFS program (American Institute for Foreign Study) for the six-week summer term during the summer of 2014 at the University of Granada in Granada, Spain. The dates of the program are 26 May 2014- 18 July 2014. My mission is to enhance my speaking and understanding of the Spanish Language by living with a host family abroad and taking immersion classes. Through advice received and through personal experience, I have come to the realization that learning to fluently speak Spanish -- or any other foreign language -- is only possible if the language is practiced and practiced often. Going to Spain and home-staying with a Spanish-speaking family will immensely help with this because I would be exposed to the language constantly for an extended period of time. The program fee is $8,900 and includes airfare and other costs associated with the program (home stay prices, tuition, flight, etc.)Would you be interested in donating a portion of the fee to me? Anything helps and would be greatly appreciated. Any extra funds after the program has been paid for will be used to support me in Spain
