Enable is an independent NGO, working to give orphans a safe childhood and a future where they can fend for themselves. They have started the construction of a small village for children. The children's village is located outside Tranquebar, Tamil Nadu in south India. As in many other parts of in India, there are many children here who are completely alone in the world and desperately need help.
The children's village is designed with small houses surrounding a circle. The goal is to create a structure that, to the extent possible, resembles that of an ordinary Indian family. In this way a safe and loving environment is created for the girls. Enable provides the girls with an education so they can build a future where they can fend for themselves.
