On September 24, Kraig succumbed and lost his battle to Glioblastoma S4, a rare brain cancer that he was diagnosed just 4 months earlier. Kraig was so blessed to have so many wonderful people that cared about him.
On April 17th 2014, President and Co-Founder of Sacks For Life, Kraig Lopez, was diagnosed with two tumors in his brain after a routine CT-scan. Diagnosis confirmed a rare brain cancer called Glioblastoma. Almost immediately, his speech became affected and emergency surgery is needed to remove both masses that would otherwise cause further complications. The news was unexpected, devastating and tragic as Sacks For Life is a full time operation. Our mission is simple, to help those in need, and not at any time did we think that any of us would need the help that we so unselfishly give.
After careful consideration and from the urgent requests from our members, I graciously, and humbly, ask for your help. In additional to help with medication and post living expenses, I ask that anyone who will, and can, help us in our fight against this cancer. Kraig, has from the very beginning helped those in need unselfishly, fed and clothed those who otherwise had nothing, and spread joy and lasting memories to those individuals who desperately needed it.
Now, I please ask that we all join and unite together and give back to him, to help him beat this diagnosis, help him heal, and most of all, bring him back to us! Please keep him in your prayers! He has so much more to give and so much more to accomplish! God bless all of you!
