Joy This Christmas

Joy this Christmas was set up in 2018 to bring some joy to children whose families are struggling financially.  Thanks to the overwhelming amount of support we received last year, we were able to support over 230 local children and their families. This year with the cost of living crisis and the many displaced families due to the war, we are expecting this number to grow significantly.

We rely heavily on the generosity of lots of amazing people to donate used toys and clothes or to purchase items the children would like. We also rely on volunteers to help us collect items from people's homes and to donate spaces for people to drop items to. Please share this link with as many people as you can and if possible donate. A donation of £1 will enable us to buy a selection box, a colouring book or a pair of gloves, a donation of £5 will enable us to buy a toy and donations of £10 and over will enable us to buy several toys and coats. 

We would normally include the following in a gift bag for each child: a book, selection of small toys or something the child would like (football and goalie gloves, doll and pram, ride on bike, board games, creative sets, building bricks similar to Lego, action figures etc), pyjama’s, hat and scarf sets and goodies such as selection boxes and hot chocolate.
