Medical Aid for Syrian Refugees
Donation protected
Join me in an effort to alleviate suffering among refugees living in Zaatari camp in Jordan. Syrian refugees displaced by armed conflict are faced with poverty, poor living conditions, and inadequate healthcare. Let's work together to raise $7,000 by June 13,2014.
The Goal of the Mission
Between June 14, 2014 - June 22, 2014, I will participate in a Medical Mission to Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan that is home to over 200,000 Syrian refugees, over 50% are children with the Salaam Cultural Museum Organization.
As a Medical student with a background in Public Health, I will assist medical teams in clinics, hospitals, child care centers, and rehabilitation centers. Previous missions have helped ***3,000 patients*** in 7 days. The goal for our team of 20 healthcare professionals and humanitarians is to match and exceed this number.
Daily assignments will focus on dental health, adolesecnt health, spinal cord injury care and mental health. To complement these efforts, I will also be involved in sorting and distributing donated food, vitamins, medication, blankets, clothes, hygiene kits, and children's school supplies; offering women's health education; providing translation services; and working with women and children at refugee camp facilities.
I hope to bring back pictures and experiences to share with the communities that support this trip, as well as document the distribution of supplies/materials to bring awareness to the crisis at hand.

Help Me Help Others
I am soliciting the help of my friends and family so I may join the doctors and health professionals affiliated with the Salaam Cultural Center this June. My ability to become involved with this medical mission is contingent on adequate funding. As all team members and their contributions are self-funded, 100% of proceeds go directly to the mission.
I am reaching out to you with the following fundraising goals in mind:
(1) $650 for transportation of medication, supplies, and water between camps in Jordan
(2) $150 extra baggage fees ($75/bag x 2) to deliver medications and supplies
(3) $5,900 for baby formula, medication, medical tools, and blankets that will be personally delivered and administered by our medical team to refugees at the Zaatari Refugee Camp and childrens center.
(4) Donations of Hygiene supplies, medications, etc will also be accepted in person
TOTAL: $7,000
FUNDRAISING END DATE: June 13, 2014
Your kind donation towards my $7,000 goal will allow me to join a program that is focused on alleviating suffering of refugees at a time when severe weather has made already difficult living conditions unbearable. ANY and ALL contributions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless you for your help!
