Help Jason Roberts Get A Shower Chair

Jason is 36 years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystophy, which affects all muscles. Doctors told him he would only live until age 21, but he's still kicking @$$ and taking names! 

An important thing for all people of all abilities is to be able to shower everyday and when you have a caregiver who helps you it needs to be safe and comfortable for both parties. Who knew that getting clean was such a luxury? Medicaid sure thinks that. Jason needs to have an accessible shower chair and Medicaid will not cover it. 

It is too hard for Jason's mom to pick him up and transfer him over the side of the bathtub and needs to have a sliding transfer bench with proper back support to safely take a shower. 

Jason needs a shower chair like the one below in order to safely perform his activities of daily living (ADLs)
