Gender Affirming Surgery for Thorne Melcher

After over seven years of undergoing my transition, I still have not been able to obtain gender confirmation surgery. This causes me deep mental anguish on a daily basis. Additionally, under the laws in my state (Georgia), I’m not even able to update the gender marker on my ID.

To make matters worse, at the end of January 2020, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job of three years, which was yet another massive setback towards this goal. This employer had originally promised to help ensure I could get it while I was working there, only to fail to live up to that promise.
