Hey everyone! My wife Jess and I are young Subway Restaurant franchisees. As of late, we have had a lot of emotions with all that has been going on in the world, and have been feeling helpless. To make a positive impact, we want to express our gratitude to all the frontline healthcare workers: nurses, doctors, support staff etc. for their tireless work during this exceptionally difficult time.
After brainstorming about the ways in which we could give back, providing healthy meals to our frontline staff is something that we thought could go a long way. With Jess working closely with hospital staff, she noticed that the they often miss their lunch breaks, and must grab whatever they can in a hurry. We figured now more than ever is when these healthcare providers need to be cared for. So what can we do? By supplying food for the healthcare workers at no charge, we can support them when they need it most.
We’re wanting to put love into these sandwiches to give frontline staff the fuel to fight this devastating pandemic. We would like to extend the opportunity to our family, friends and local community for the chance to also help make a difference. 100% of the proceeds raised will go towards providing Subway sandwiches to multiple hospitals (various units) across the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley area. We have been in touch with the appropriate contacts at the Health Authorities (both Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health), who have been working around the clock, receiving and coordinating the supplies, equipment, and food donations for the staff.
If you would like to join us in this cause, no amount is too small. Our intention is to provide Subs-4-Scrubs as long as it takes to help feed our local healthcare heroes.
