Door Of Faith Orphanage

My name is Jacob DeWaard and I am a long term volunteer at Door of Faith Orphanage in La Mision, Baja California, Mexico. I am 20 years old and have recently walked away from my life in the US to pursue my passion for missions work. At DOFO, I am in charge of working with groups that come and partner with us and work on projects in the community and on site. We currently have over 120 kids living at DOFO ranging from infants to college students. Most of them have been severly abused in their lives and have gained new life by coming to DOFO.

My goal with this page is to raise money to support my living expenses/student loans, but more importantly to give me the funding I need in order to give these kids what they deserve. I am hoping to raise enough money to help pay for things they normally wouldn't get to do, such as going out to eat in town, going to the movies, laser tag, ect.

I have set a $20,000 goal in the hopes that 75% ($15,000) of it will go directly to the kids, or go towards helping pay for something to be built for them (new soccer field).

I am really taking a leap of faith here as I have no income to speak of, but I am trusting that the Lord will provide me with what I need. 

If it comes down to it and you end up not donating, I ask that you at least keep myself and all of the kids here in your prayers!
