Support for the Eastwood family
Spende geschützt
Approximately three weeks ago, we learned that our father had stage 4 cancer. It came as a huge shock being that there were no signs or symptoms up until that point. Although there was no cure for the cancer, we had all hoped that we would be able to treat it, allowing us to have the most time with him as possible. On the morning of March 19th, we lost him. It has left a tremendous hole in all of our hearts.
Pop's and Mum moved here last April of 2015 to be with us kids and all of the grandkids. It was the final piece to our family puzzle. We finally all got to be together!! This was going to be the start of their new life over here. Pop's got a job and Mum helped with sitting the grandkid's while we worked. We all had been having a wonderful time together! This sort of thing isn't supposed to happen to such wonderful people.
I have created this page in hopes that we can raise some money to help with the cost of medical bills, funeral expenses and whatever else my mother in law may need. She would never ask anybody for help, and that is exactly why I am asking. I don't know of anyone more deserving. I want to thank everyone in advance for your support and prayers.
Rob was born on the 28th of February, 1957 in Halifax, West Yorkshire in England to Eric and Edith Eastwood. When Rob was 13, his family moved to York where he completed his education. Upon leaving school, Rob began an apprenticeship to train as a motor mechanic and he worked within the motor industry for most of his working life. He met his wife, Alison, when he was just 18 and they married in July of 1978. In 1982 their first son Matthew was born, followed by Nicholas in 1985.
In 1998 a family holiday to Florida was planned which had the most profound effect on the Eastwood family's lives because Matt met Alissa. Years later they married and at their wedding, Nic met his wife Rachel. As the boys had decided to move and live in Minnesota, Rob and his wife decided being cyber parents and grandparents was just not enough. So they decided to emigrate to the USA to be with their family. It was one of the happiest days of their lives when they got their approval in April 2015. They flew out on 29th of April to join their beloved children and grandchildren. Rob embraced the American way of life and loved living in Minnesota reunited with his family.
He loved music, Formula One, he was always smiling and laughing, he was a hard worker and unusually for a man loved to go shopping. Rob was truly a one-off who was loved by everyone whose lives he touched. He will be missed every second of every day.

We ask that if you attend his celebration of life, that you wear bright colors as he loved colorful things!
