At eleven years old I left what I had always known as my home - The Philippines. Since then, I dreamt of returning home to see my grandmother, first cousins, aunts and uncles. Each year I promised to go back. Every year I had to postpone because of money, and lack of vacation time. I was not lucky enough to see my grandmother before she died. Finally after 25 years, I can no longer wait. Again, unexpected bills stand in the way. This year is not only important because of returning home but because it is also an "exposure trip" - to see first hand the injustices Filipinas/os are experiencing through Imperialism and Capitalism caused by the United States and the Philippine government. Help me return home to see my family and fight injustice in the Philippines. Thank you for all of your love and support.
