Stapleton Family Needs Your Help
Donation protected
Neighbors, Friends and Caring Souls,
Can
you
help? One of our own is in need of our help, a family right here in
Stapleton that has lived here for over 8 years. Many of
you know them I\'m sure, however you would never know how much
they are struggling. The bank is threatening foreclosure
next week on their courtyard home. The Dad was laid off very unexpectedly early in the year
but just started his new job. Without his income for 3
months, their mortgage has gotten behind. The Mother\'s
income has
covered childcare (2 young children), food, utilities, insurance, etc.
I have helped them throughout this with a ton of loving support,
I helped with his resume, coached him on
interviews, found the company he\'s working for now, provided diapers
(not that they don\'t have diapers but they\'re an expensive item that
takes cash), had them over for dinner many times to talk everything
through, I\'ve tried to work with the bank as their advocate, I put
together Easter baskets with toys, games and misc. gifts for each of the
kids, but I can\'t get their mortgage caught up, I SO wish I
could.
I would just do it if I could and wouldn\'t be writing this now.I\'m reaching out to all of you for help between now and Thursday at midnight because you guys are amazing. The bank isn\'t negotiating; I\'ve tried the routes of modification, refinancing, deferred payments, temporary hardship, etc. The bank seems to think that foreclosure is the answer, ridiculous!! To avoid it, they want 2 payments by next Friday and 2 payments by May 15, no exceptions. The Dad\'s new income will cover the May payments and everything will be fine and back on track from there. I\'m thinking if half the people that read this were to give even $5, I think we could do this, am I crazy or an over-achiever? I really think we can save our neighbor\'s home. The Stapleton Neighborhood has conquered numerous monumental situations in the past and we always will.
