Baby's Gastroschisis

Hi everybody! Devan and Savannah here. As most of you know, Savannah and I are expecting our first child (who is yet to be named). Unfortunately, she has a birth defect called "gastroschisis." When a child has gastroschisis, his/her abdominal wall does not develop properly (there is a small hole through which the organs can protrude). In our baby's case, only her intestines are outside of her body. This particular birth defect is somewhat minor, but the bills that come along with it are not. She will require surgery immediately upon delivery, and will then have a minimum 3 week stay in the NICU. Savannah will be induced, with a possible c-section.

Although Savannah and I both currently work and have insurance, it's simply not enough to cover the costs of the specialized surgeries and all the follow up care. 

We truly appreciate anything and everything we receive. For those of you who know us, Savannah and I have no interest in spending any of this money on anything but the baby.
