All Stars Under The Stars Benefit Concert Event

My name is Malcolm, and I have experienced homelessness. I am very fortunate to be in a different place now and feel the need to Pay It Forward! I have been supporting a fantastic charity in WI for the last 8 years that makes a difference to hunger challenges. I started an event several years ago to celebrate my birthday with friends & family and support a charity that does so much for others. I now have a concert in downtown Wausau every year. Four thousand pounds of food were donated by those that attended last year. Yes, you read that right, 4000 pounds!

This annual event is free to the public, but I still need donations to pay the band, run sound equipment, insurance, pay for trash collection, and the cost of putting up portable toilets. We need this year to be bigger & better! Please help us meet our goal today! Every contribution, no matter what size, makes a difference.

I serve as the Concert Promotor/Coordinator of this event. The event is on August 24, 2022, and the charity it benefits every year is Peyton's Promise. Peyton's Promise has over 152 volunteer student advocates working within 15 different schools. These advocates range from 4th grade through college and are part of the DC Everest, Wausau, Marathon, and Mosinee School Districts. Peyton's Promise believes that one of the most important answers to eliminating hunger is education. The advocates work within their schools to inspire, educate, and encourage other youth to see the importance of their voices and actions in the fight to alleviate hunger. These youth advocates and other volunteers work in schools and communities to organize food drives and spread awareness regarding the many challenges that children and families face when they are hungry and food is not available. Making the World a Better Place!

Peyton’s Promise continues to grow and currently serves over 55 local food pantries and community food outreach organizations in Marathon County.
