An amazing professional opportunity has come my way, and I am asking for your help to be able to make it happen. I have been chosen out of hundreds of canidates from over 80 countries to present at the World Forum on Early Care and Education on Men in Early Childhood Education, along with a fellow colleague, Javier Casio of SWEL Children's Center in West Seattle. We will be discussing the impacts men have on young children, being a man in the Early Childhood Education field and what it means to children/families/society. We will also share our stories as well as thoughts from other men in the field.
The Forum will take place in Puerto Rico from May 6-9th and I am raising money to cover the full cost of the registration fee, travel, and lodging. Here's the budget breakdown:
I hope to raise enough to cover the rest of the registration fee, my flight and hotel for 5 nights (May 5-9). A portion of the registration costs are being generously helped out by Hilltop Children's Center (THANKS!).
This opportunity will not only help Javier and myself progress as professionals in the Early Childhood field, but hopefully stress the importance of providing children with well-rounded and diverse beginnings in their education.

Thank you so much for supporting me in this opportunity, there are no words to express my appreciation.
