Team Heal Duane

Hello everyone. Thanks for taking a minute as I introduce to you Stephen "Duane" Butler Jr.  Duane is an adventurous 5 year old who loves dragons, superheroes and playing video games. Duane was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in May 2013. After having what was said to be a simple surgery, his right kidney was removed. However, the surgery turned out to be lifesaving. After that, Duane was doing well, in school and living life as your average 4 year old. In May 2015, he began to complain of unexplained leg pain. After thorough examination, it was discovered that the cancer had relapsed. It has now spread to his spine, bones and it is stage 4. He's had 5 rounds of chemo and minor complications along the way. He is set for MIBG therapy and Stem cell therapy in a couple of weeks. The therapy will have him in the hospital for 1 month at a time. 

With a long road ahead, Duane takes advantage of every break he gets from the hospital. He is always smiling and laughing. He even has plans for the day all treatment is done and he is cancer free! He wishes to go build a sandcastle for the first time and go visit Mickey Mouse at Disney World. 

Duane's mother, Claudia, is a dear friend to many. Claudia hasn't been able to work, now that all of her time is spent tending to her precious son. She is so thankful for the love and support of her wonderful husband Chris and friends like us. This fund was created to help them with Duane's medical expenses, as well as, living expenses for the next couple of months. Thank you guys in advance for your donations.
