His name is Redeemed, and we call him Rede.
He is the third of our three adopted children and he is awesome.
Rede has decided that he needs help, so he has decided that he would like to go to Teen Challenge for the next 15 months. Specifically, it is the Treasure Coast Boys Academy in Vero Beach. (not on the beach)
Although he was adopted at 2 yrs old, and has been given a ton of opportunities, his life was not like ours.
At 8 months he was left at a crack house, at 18 months he was left with a baby sitter and his mother was never to return. At 20 months he moved in to be with his brother, sister and us... Roy and Amanda.
Three years ago his birth mom passed away.
At Teen Challenge he will learn how to deal with his loss, anger and abandonment. He will learn how to respond appropriately and develop new ways to interact with others and himself. He will be able to catch up in school and create new strategies for learning and living.
Most of all he will be able to develop his relationship with Jesus, the true foundation of all success.
