Team Daniel

Hi Everyone

On 7th September 2021, we got the devastating news that our 8 month old son, Daniel, has high risk Neuroblastoma - a type of childhood cancer. The cancer has been found in his adrenal gland, lymphnodes, liver, bones and bone marrow. We were also told the cancer has a genetic mutation that makes it harder to cure. He has gone through so much already with biopsies, sedation for multiple scans because he can't lie still due to his young age, numerous cannulas fitted and an operation to fit his central line to administer medications and chemotherapy.

While he has already been through so much, this is only the tip of the iceberg. We're to expect a treatment plan of around 18 months- that's more time than he has already had earth side. This plan includes 80 days of 8 lots of chemotherapy, surgery, high dose chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy - but you can bet our little man is going to fight this and he has every chance with all of our friends, family and amazing doctors and nurses in his corner!

Fundraising starts on Saturday 23rd October for a sponsored walk up Slieve Donard at 9am.

We would just like to say a massive Thank You to all of our friends and family who have shown their support and fighting spirit so far - we couldn't do this without you.
