Medical Mission Trip to Kenya

Howdy!My name is Jordan Richardson, and I am a Freshman Allied Health major at Texas A&M University. I am on the Physician's Assistant track and am attending a P.A. Graduate program after I receive my Undergraduate degree from A&M. One of my biggest aspirations is to work with medical missions after I finish my education. It is just something that God has always put on my heart to do and He has given me the right skills to succeed in doing that. And recently, I received an amazing opportunity to attend my first medical mission!Texas A&M University partnered with Kenya Voluntary & Community Development Project to provide pre-medical students the opportunity to partake in a medical mission alongside established doctors and other health professionals. This partnership is known as Operation Africa. Not only will I be gaining the practical skills needed for my future career, but I will a part of saving many lives in a place where death and despair is a common factor of their daily lives. I cannot imagine a greater feeling than being a part of that. Now that you know a little about what I'm doing, there is a lot of money involved in getting there...from the bottom of my heart I ask, if you can, to contribute to these expenses for this life-changing trip. It would truly mean the world if you could help in ANY way to make this trip possible.We leave for Nairobi on May 8th and return on May 31st. The plane ticket costs $1,200 and the costs for everything while in Kenya (food, transportation, shelter) is $940.
