Help LaTasha get to Mayo!!!!

Hey friends, family, and those who have taken the time to read this. LaTasha Thaxton, my cousin, more like sister, is in need of some help. On October 25th, Tasha must travel to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for what is hopefully the last stay needed for approval of a kidney transplant. As many know, Tasha was diagnosed with renal failure in 2011. She began dialysis in 2013 and was also approved for her first kidney transplant. On Thanksgiving 2013, she received her first transplant. Things went well for 2 years before her body began to reject the kidney. She had full rejection of the kidney in 2016 and had to begin dialysis all over again. She has been on dialysis since along with several other major illnesses. Tasha was no longer able to work due to being sick and in the hospital for extended periods of time. This year, Tasha was diagnosed with a pulmonary hypertension which has stalled her process of being approved for another kidney transplant. Tasha had to start using oxygen daily. She was assessed by KU Medical and Research Hospital who denied another transplant. Mayo took her case and believed she could be approved for another transplant if they could get the pulmonary hypertension under control. This month, she needs to return to Mayo to follow up on her progress and hopefully be cleared for surgery. This trip to Mayo (and hopefully future trips) leads to transportation and lodging costs that she cannot afford at this time. We hope to raise enough money to get her to Mayo at the end of this month so she can complete her assessments and move toward her next kidney transplant. With lots of prayers, we hope to soon raise money for the actual transplant!
