Africa is home to some 45 million orphaned children. That's more than the total number of all children under the age of 18 living in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Norway and Sweden combined. Often times these orphans will be forced to eat garbage and drink polluted water. This is where we come in!
For years, it has been a dream of ours to travel the world; experiencing new cultures, building lifelong memories and discovering a sense of self. However, most importantly, we knew that we wanted to be able to make a difference in the lives of those who have not been as fortunate.
After spending countless hours researching organizations and the many countries in need, we have finally decided to travel to South Africa through International Volunteer Headquarters! This amazing organization gives us the opportunity to participate in a child care program working with orphaned children--showering them with as much love as possible every day.
In order to turn our dream into reality we need your help. No matter the amount, any little bit will bring us closer to achieving our goal!
