Support For MND Grieving Family

I set this page up to reach out to you, asking for your support to financially help my beautiful friend Zoe and her 2 young children, Amelie (7) & Louis (5), through the most devastating and difficult time they are facing.

On February 2018 Gordon (40) was diagnosed as having a progressive upper form of Motor Neurons Disease and for anyone who knows this disease it truly is a heartbreaking diagnosis with no known cure! This completely shattered their family but Gordon always remained positive, upbeat and always had a smile on his face and continued to stop and chat to anyone even when he lost the ability to talk. He lived a Buddhist way of life and absolutely adored his family and friends as they did him. Please watch the below video link to the Martlets Interview he did... such an emotional interview.

Zoe knew she was losing her soulmate and husband to the most brutal illness MND ... but Zoe, being the amazing strong woman she is, organised a charity ball at the Grand Hotel in January 2019 and raised a whopping £35,000 for the MND Charity to help try to find a cure for Gordon and others with this cruel disease... She did this all the while caring for Gordon and her two children who were struggling with the devastating situation.

Always thinking of others but at the time I did say we need to get you financial support for the future but being the proud couple they are, they didn’t want it then but I have been given permission to put this out now due to the current situation.

On the 13th September 2020 Gordon lost his battle with MND. It was remarkable in how he lived with positivity, dignity and nobility. He continued to be an inspiration in how he grappled with this terrible terminal illness, facing it head on until he could no more. This is truly devastating for Zoe and the kids, she now has to focus her energy on helping the kids cope with no longer have their dad in their life. RIP Gordon xox

Zoe is lucky enough to have family to help her with funeral and with what else they can financially... however Zoe has major anxiety about not having an income so this funding page has purely been set up so Zoe won’t have to go back to work straight away. She will then be able to grieve with her kids without the added stress and be able to build her strength up again to go back to work eventually. 

This will hopefully be the light in this dark time and a huge help with this beautiful families healing. Nothing prepares you for the loss of a loved one, especially when children are left behind without their loving father, but if we can at least help their mum to be with them, and worry a little less about finances. It's something to make this horrendous time for them a little easier.
