BKE Scholarship Fund

In 2008 our little community of Blanding, UT lost three of our town leaders in a horrible tragedy. They all left behind wives and children. They were involved in so much in our town. They were all on the City Council, they all participated in local sporting events, they all donated to local wildlife funds, two owned small businesses. They were all amazing men.

As we picked up the pieces and reached out to their families and tried to help where we could we realized that making it through the year, helping their families get on their feet, and remembering them when we drove past the cemetery wasn't enough.

Every year in in their hometown we try to honor these men and the great but short lives they led. We remember their families and in an effort to keep them alive in our hearts we have set up a scholarship their name. Since the scholarship started in 2009 the BKE Scholarship has helped over 15 high school senior on their college journey. They have given away close to $10,000 to help students meet their educational goals and dreams. The BKE Scholarship embodies Brian, Kim, and Eric in the best way we know how - by reaching out to people in need. Every year the scholarship is rewarded to the chosen high school students at the SFW Banquet in March.

We need your help to keep this scholarship growing. We are amazing by the generousity of the people here and are now extending our reach in hopes that we can keep this scholarship around forever, in hopes that we can take a moments and remember these men for years and years to come.
