To aid in building a horse show site!

"Where are the up and coming riders?" is something I have heard far too often from my peers in the horse industry.  I truly feel like the sport of horses is suffering in our area partly because of the loss of local shows, camps, and clinics.  We would like to be able to provide shows AND a facility that could be rented to local horse clubs or groups to hold educational and inspirational opportunties with in all disciplines of riding.  There are SO many ways to enjoy horses, so many ways that are not easily accessible in our area.  We need to devlop a venue where large numbers of horses, and horse enthusiasts can come together to learn, compete and enjoy the sport together.  We are doing that with the development of the Peter J. Hauri memorial field.  This field will be used for a starter season of 6 shows this summer, and be available to outside groups and clubs to rent on a daily/weekly manner as well.  We want this field to represent the Upper Valley and help encourage reasonable goals for riders of all disciplines.  Our shows will feature great judges, beautiful grounds and exciting awards!  We hope that by using year end awards we can encourage show minded riders to have goals and develop programs to achieve these goals. We hope that this then encourages new people to join the sport and ultimately find the love of having their own horses and furthering our sport in so many ways!  

Right now we have the field, it is prepared to have footing brought in, and the base infrastructure has been started.  We have a plan for the design and development of the property.  What we need is to bring in footing for the 200' x 300' riding space.  This area will be suitable for MANY different configurations for all sorts of horse sport.  We need to build as well, we need judges booths, jumps, fences, office space, etc.  We have a quote of $10,000 for ASTM C-33 sand footing, and $5,000 for the product to build the booths, jumps, etc.  We already have volunteers in place who are excited to start building.  We are now trying to raise $15,000 so that we can start THIS SUMMER!  We have people standing by to make this happen, please consider being part of our adventure!!
