HOPE FOR DEZMON'S HEART

On March 4, 2008 Dezmon (8months) was rushed to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. Where he was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. Dezmon was transported to Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA.; there his mom Tamieka Palmer learned that her baby boy needed a new heart. Within 48 hours Dezmon was air lifted to Little Rock, Arkansas Children's Hospital where he received a heart transplant.

Almost 6 years later on Febuary 8, 2014 Dezmon was rushed to the ER because of change in daily activities. Now Dezmon is back at the Arkansas Children's Hospital for a Humanral Heart rejection to his new heart. Not only has Dezmon's life changed, his mother's life has changed as well.

Tamieka is a single parent of two handsome sons, Dezmon & Tahj. While Dezmon is in the hospital fighting for his life, Tahj is in Louisiana in the care of Tamieka's sister because she couldn't bring him along. Because of the unexpected circumstances his mom will not be able to complete this semester in college, because the need of being by her son's side. Also she is now faced with financial barriers leaving bills and the care for another son at home. You never know when or you simply wish that it would never be you.
