Refugee Relief Fund

Donation protected
On 24th of March, 3 days before South Africa went into total lockdown , 650 men , woman and children refugees who had been living on the streets outside Cape Town police station waiting to be helped - where bused to a huge tent military tent with no belongings, food or assistance. 5 days after they arrived, one of their members posted a desperate plea on Facebook for food. It caught the attention of some people and after the initial drop off of some food we soon realized that we couldn’t walk away and decided to form the Refugee relief fund. We were overwhelmed with clothing donations and food but with 650 people it still remains a humanitarian crisis. There is so much amazing charity done for the people of South Africa and unfortunately helping the refugees has not been a priority. The refugee relief fund now focuses 100% on the refugees who have nothing. Four babies have been born and thank God they are all health for now. We are continued to be commited to giving these individuals hope with the knowledge that through us they have a voice and are not completely abandoned.
We are not only trying to change lives for these people but to MAKE LIFE for them.
There are so many people within the camp who have great skills and talents which we would love to focus on improving , but our key concern at the moment is to keep them fed, warm and safe.
