trevor's eyes

trevor is 18 years old and this is his senior year, which is bitter sweet for us.  i am very proud of the young man he has become.  trevor was diagnosed with eczema (skin problem) at birth.  this rash can be found anywhere on his body at times that causes severe itching, redness, bleeding due to opening and raw skin, causing him to be hospitalized due to infection. it definiately is a constant and on going battle to protect his skin with several prescribed creams, ointments, and moisturizers.
with not only that obstacle before him, approximately 4 years ago trevor was diagnosed with keratoconis. this is a disease in both his eyes that causes the cornea to change from the normal round shape to a cone shape.  these changes in the eye are progressing cause his glasses and contacts to be non effective.  if this progression doesnt stop he will have to have a cornea transplant which he reaches his 30's.  i would appreciate help in this matter.  trevor will under go a procedure called cornea cross linking. this procedure costs $3000 per eye, plus motel (cause we live several hours away from the facility), gas, and any post medication.  the sad and frustrating part about this is not only the circumstance of his situation but the fact he has insurance.  as most of you know we pay dearly for insurance but because this procedure is not fda approved insurance will not help.  thank you so much........for any donation received large or small because i know times are hard for us all!! may god reachly bless you for you help and taking the time to read a mothers heartfelt request.
