Hands for Hope Benefit Show
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
I am a sophomore at Belmont University and founded a domestic violence and sexual violence awareness organization at my school along with three of my best friends! Together, we have built Hands for Hope into an organization that strives to promote peace and nonviolence in our community and the world.
We aim to serve the community and those who are victims of violence, and bring programs, speakers, and awareness campaigns to campus that educate students and provide them with resources in case this happens to them or a friend. Our main mission is to promote peace and healing on our campus.
As an organization, we have brought in speakers, created an awareness campaign, and organized a One Billion Rising for Justice event that was extremely successful. Our next project is to organize a benefit show fundraiser at Rocketown (a venue near our campus) on April 1, 2014. We have four artists who will be performing to raise awareness and funds for two non-violence awareness organizations, and to promote healing through music.
There are fees associated with the show that include promotional materials such as posters and awareness cards, concert t-shirts, supplies for the stage backdrop, printing our organization banner, and decorations for the event.
Anything you can contribute is GREATLY appreciated. To be able to spread our mission and help others is a blessing, and I thank you for supporting us.
Peace & love,
Christina Hughes, President
Nyazia Martin, Vice President
Tessa Cokkinias, Secretary
Caitlin Foley, Treasurer
