Running for Bristol Link with Beira

Hi, I'm Tim, and I live in Bristol, UK, which is twinned with Beira in Mozambique, a city I visited in 2015. On 25th September 2022, I will run the Bristol 10K in support of Bristol Link with Beira (BLB, bristolbeiralink.org). This charity promotes people-to-people networks between Bristol and Beira to empower and benefit local communities and generate links and learning between the two cities. For over 30 years, BLB has been supporting the Municipality of Beira and its communities in partnership with local non-governmental and community-based organisations.

This year, BLB has succeeded in grant funding for two new partners, on separate projects for women and girls. Now they are working towards raising funds for its long-standing partners: Amai Mussanhani (Women Helping Women) wants to improve pre-school meal provision; Matacuane Primary School needs IT training; AJOMAC youth group needs equipment and training for environmental projects.
