Tic Toc..a Cure would ROCK!

Hello Family and Friends!
I am so excited to participate in the Boston Athletic Association's 5k on Saturday, April 19th and was lucky enough to receive a number, hence the training begins.  As a Stoneham resident and a former Boston resident, I felt compelled to "do" something this year on Marathon Weekend other than being a spectator as the tragedies from last year wear heavy on all of us.  I am not an avid runner but, I have run a few 5k's in the past and feel I am able to handle this challenge and am excited to do so.
We have made several donations over the past year to the One Fund and the Stoneham Strong Fund and have seen how successful those fundraisers continue to be. Having said that, I would like to take this opportunity and dedicate this upcoming 5k to raise money for another great organization, The National Tourette Syndrome Assocation(tsa-usa.org/give).
We have a very very dear friend who we love so much and suffers from TS. We see what their family goes through on a daily basis and it is both difficult and heartbreaking. Once again, I FEEL THE NEED TO "DO" SOMETHING.  As of now, there is NO CURE for TS. 
 TS is a neurological disorder which becomes evident in early childhood and adolescence. The first symptoms are usually involuntary movements called "tics". There are both vocal tics which are more widely known as well as physical tics. The goal of TSA is to educate both patients and the public of the many facets of "tic" disorders. Increased public understanding and tolerance of TS are of paramount importance to people with TS and their families who are their ultimate support system. Please help me, along with the Donahue family raise money for more research, education, support and an eventual CURE for TOURETTE SYNDROME!! Thank you in advance for your support!!!!
