Hi, I’m Kevin Johnson. Not long ago, I was in a serious accident while test-riding my rebuilt e-bike. I don’t remember what happened, but the crash left me with three skull fractures and a brain bleed that could have been life-threatening. The damage to my bike was so severe that doctors believe it may have been caused by a collision with a vehicle, possibly even a hit-and-run. I was airlifted to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for emergency care, and I’m grateful to be here today and recovering.
The good news is that I am healing, but recovery comes with major challenges. Because of the injury, I’m under a strict 10-pound lifting restriction, which means I can’t do the physical work that my business, Artisan Stone Interiors, depends on. With hospital bills, everyday expenses, and the slowdown of my flooring installation business, it’s been overwhelming to try and keep up.
This fundraiser is to help bridge the gap while I recover—covering medical costs, living expenses, and keeping my small business afloat until I’m strong enough to get back to work.
