Please help support Germeet and her 5 children. On Friday 4th of October Germeet and her family were robbed while they were all out taking everything of value and leaving a big mess. Germeet and her daughter both work for Newbigin Community Trust and are much loved members of our neighbourhood and close friends. Manpreet, who is 16, had most of her things stolen including:
- £250 in saved cash
- Jewellery given to her by her grandma when she turned 16
- Her brand new pair of Doc Martens that she had bought with her first pay check
- A school laptop containing a tracker (which the school have since replaced)
Due to the shortage of officers the police have still not attended the house or followed up on items which contain tracking chips. The perpetrators also stole a set of the family’s car keys, and last night came back and stole the family car.
Germeet is now left with having lost everything of monetary value from the house, having her home violated and is left with terrified children who have been struggling to sleep since the burglary.
It is so unjust when things like this happen to good people and the systems that we rely on completely let them down. We at Newbigin Community Trust would like to launch this Go Fund Me campaign to help this family know that people care about them and are standing with them.
