Justice for Jesse Reed

Jesse Reed was my brother, and my family or I will never forget him. This GoFundMe account has been set up in his honor, so that Jesse’s memory and legacy will continue to live on while allowing my family to continue to seek justice for his loss.

Many of you may remember that Jesse lived to serve others. He served in the United States Marine Corps, where he was deployed twice to Iraq as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After returning to civilian life, Jesse joined the Nashville Fire Department. He also served with Cheatham County EMS.

We lost Jesse 4 years ago, but it seems like yesterday. We still have many questions about how Jesse was taken from us and want to use this platform to encourage anyone who may know anything about what happened to Jesse to come forward and speak up. We know that Jesse was with his then-wife, Ellen Reed, when he went missing on the night of March 5, 2018. We also understand that Ellen and Jesse were in Ellen’s Jeep Cherokee that night, and that the Jeep was found submerged in the Tennessee River on March 6, 2018. For nearly 2 weeks, my family and I were blessed with the efforts of our beloved search and rescue community. These men and women spent countless hours searching for Jesse and providing aid and comfort to my family. Jesse’s body was eventually found on March 17, 2018. However, so many questions remain unanswered. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has told my parents and me that an investigation into Jesse’s death remains active and ongoing. Even 4 years later, the TBI has not given up, and neither have we. Please note that this GoFundMe account has no affiliation whatsoever with the TBI. However, I want to pass along the TBI’s tip line in the interest of encouraging anyone who may have information about Jesse’s death to reach out to the TBI and help us get Justice For Jesse:

In honor of Jesse, we are soliciting donations to fulfill Jesse’s legacy of service and help our family get answers to the remaining questions about Jesse’s death. My parents, my brother Seth, and I will use your very generous contributions to benefit two incredible organizations that support our Firefighters and their families:

&

We will also use your donations to help pay for costs incurred by my parents in a federal court lawsuit where the pursuit of justice is ongoing.

And, please help us find the answers to what happened to Jesse on the night of March 5, 2018. If you know something, please share!

With much gratitude,

Jason Reed
