Infinity Art Farm

Infinity Art Farm is our dream we have for a lifestyle of growing highly nutritious food and creating functional art. We are a mother/daughter team working together to get Infinity Art Farm up and running.

Our plans with this project are to provide for ourselves, donate to the local community kitchen, participate in the growing gift economy and sell both food and art to produce an income flow that supports Infinity Art Farm.

We grow all our farm crops using sustainable and organic methods. We are incorporating permaculture features into the farm as we go. While we have no plans to become a certified organic farm, we also have the firm resolve to never use genetically modified seed, synthetic fertilizers, pesticides nor herbicides. Ever.

Visitors to Infinity Art Farm are welcome! Come see what we are up to, how we grow food and enjoy the land. Volunteers are also welcome, remember to bring your work gloves!

This initial fundraising campaign will provide the funding needed to continue improving the current garden space of 5000 square feet, obtain seed, compost fertilizer and mulch for the 2014 growing season, contribute to living expenses while we focus on the work needed to develop Infinity Art Farm, and to purchase much needed small tools and equipment.

So all this talk about food, where does the art come in? We grow gourds here, gourds are an awesome canvas, beautiful in their natural state and equally as beautiful when carved, cut, painted or when any number of other embellishment techniques are used. In addition to gourd crafting, we also will be creating a pottery studio.

Deborah has been creating pottery intermittently since 1996 whenever access to kilns for firing has been available. She taught pottery for nine summers at the prestigious Camp Merrie Woode in Sapphire, NC.

Charlotte is a creative artist in her own right, she enjoys creative painting and learned pottery techniques from Deborah as a child. She has done creative painting of various projects from models to murals and has two green thumbs that come in handy in the garden as well.

The goal with the pottery studio and the gourd crafting is to offer classes to the public as well as create items for the gift economy and to sell for support of Infinity Art Farm. As we become more firmly established we will launch a fundraising campaign to create an art studio at Infinity Art Farm and will be able to offer even more support rewards.

As we progress through the 2014 growing season we will update our campaign with pictures and hopefully some video as well. Stay tuned and Watch Us Grow!
