HELP A FAMILY IN NEED

Hello, my name is Tabitha, and I am starting this fundraiser to help my friends, Nick Casey, parents. 

Kim and Gerard Cox. Two amazing people who have been unfortunately struck with hard times.

Gerard has been battling diabetes since 2004. He was a full-time cabinet maker and a musician. He had to quit working in 2008 and 2016; his right leg was amputated. And this morning, March 4th, 2022, his left leg was amputated. Being the amazing woman and wife that she is, Kim has lost so much time at work to be there for her husband.

It's not just the loss of wages, which is hard enough on its own, but the loss of everyday life activities.

For Gerard to be able even to do a simple task such as a shower, proper safety bars and a bath lift will need to be installed.

Being a musician, music is his outlet, a form of therapy. Unfortunately, his music room is in the basement. To get him there, they will need to install two stair lifts.

Their house is on a raised main level, with ten stairs to get to the door. They will need to install ramps or lifts for the front door and back yard.

If Gerard ever wants to drive again, he will need a mobility van with ramps and hand controls. This task is probably most important to him, as he has a grandson he adores and spends as much time possible with. This loving grandfather will take his grandson to his baseball games or bring him and his dog Seven to the park with a new vehicle.

I'm aware times are tough for everyone, and with the way the world seems to be falling apart lately, we could use a little kindness. Anything helps. Please help these amazing people bring some normalcy back to their lives.
