About Us: Libros Libres Oakland: The Traveling Free Bookstore brings Pop Up book giveaway events to the greater Oakland area. Where ever you are, we will bring the books! Check out our Facebook page here .
Since our inception in October, we have hosted 6 very successful events, rehoming over 4,000 books for free. To accomplish this, we have rented Uhuals to carry all of our books, shelves, and the "Tell your story" station. It has been a physically demanding and expensive way to transport our free bookstore and we are ready for a more functional bookmobile!
OUR GOAL: We would like to use your donation to purchase a Bookmobile.

Donation rewards:
*Those who donate $15 or more will have their name listed on our website's Sponsors page!
*Those who donate $100 or more will have their name, or the name of a loved one, lovingly painted in a place of honor on our bookmobile.
*For those who donate $500 or more, Libros Libres will arrange a free book give away event at a location of your choice. For all those bibliophiles out there, this could be a great wine and cheese party at your place. For those with children, think of sending us to your child's school for an afternoon of free books. Or, send us to your favorite community organization on your behalf. Limited to the immediate Bay Area.
*The first person to donate $1000 or more will be invited to name our bookmobile! Every ship must have a name, and our bookmobile will be no different.
