Hi, my name is Emily.

Friday, July 9, 2021, my mom lost her home to a tragic house fire.

She bought her home in February 2021 and couldn’t stop talking about all of its charm. Little by little, she has been making it her own.

She has put up a strong front, but there were so many losses greater than just a house.

This house was so much more than a place to live. This house brought her home to her family after nearly 4 years of living out of state.

This house quickly became our gathering place. It brought all of her kids together. It brought cousins together. It brought friends together.

The impact this home made on all of our lives became clear on July 9th. Within minutes of the fire starting, our family gathered around to support my momma as she experienced this tragic loss.
