Tefft Family Financial Hardhip

Hello friends and family. As most of you know I retired from the US Army January this year. I thought that being retired would be rewarding and relaxing, however it has not been the case so far. When I first retired, the VA took longer to start my retirement pay than planned which meant I had no income. I started working at Lowe’s right away, but was not enough to fill all of our financial gaps. We were able to use good assistance until my pay started from the VA, but by then we had already started getting pretty far behind on other obligations. As the months passed and several phone calls to creditors to work with us, we still kept falling behind. I had to let my second vehicle go which was hard but a necessary sacrifice. I continued to work on getting caught up, but it proves to be difficult because the next month is always due again. I made the decision to get a second job, so I have been working about 70 hours a week between Target and Lowe’s. In October I finally got our second vehicle caught up, which included an arrangement with the company for a 2 month deferment to the end of the loan. I was never informed that the deferment never went through, so Sunday night/Monday morning my second vehicle was taken. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them and they would not accept their mistake. We need our vehicle back and need help getting back on track. I absolutely hate asking for help, but I am asking. As of right now, we won’t even be able to do Christmas for our 2 boys. If you can help, please do, if not we completely understand. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and god bless. Sincerely, The Tefft Family
