Founder's Landing boulder plaque

This is what the boulder looks like now at Founder's Landing. There is a walk/bike path along the scenic Rock River near Davis Park. We as a community would raise funds for a bronze plaque that would be imprinted with the same inscription from 1965.  This marks where Rockford's 1st settlers forded the Rock River. Others with their stage coaches  journeyed west using the ford to go from Galena to Chicago. We are planning to have the dedication in October, when the first plaque was dedicated over 50 years ago. This has been a great honor in setting this up for our community to be a part of.  I love that we can come together and make this happen. Thank You!
