A little about Purpose Over Popularity Movement Purpose of Popularity was Founded in 2017. Out of a passion for helping those in our community, daily. Seeing how a little can go a long way, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions, while teaching our community how to become self-sustaining. We do this through Family, Community Restoration, Wellness, and Economic Empowerment.

During this time there is an overwhelming number of families and small business owners in need. We believe that we are people that can and will take care of ourselves and each other. 

We want no family to go hungry and no business force to close. By donating to Purpose over Popularity , you will be supporting Bay Area families and Businesses directly with funds for food, rent, utilities, and basic necessities.

WE can take care of our people when we come together.

Our goal is to continue to help the Black community become self-sustaining through Family, Community Restoration, and Economic Empowerment.  

Micro-Grants for Families are $200-$1000
depending on the need of the individual families. Business Grants for Black Business Owners are $500-$1000








No identifying photos will be posted of recipients to protect privacy. However, as we distribute funds our website will be updated with messages from the recipients along with how many people you have helped.
