Elliott Cutler is a Veteran of the US Army with the C Company 1/505 PIR in the 82nd Airborne Division. He served from 1981 to 1995. He left the service as an E-6P.
From 1996 to 2005, he served as a Law Enforcement Officer in North Suburban Atlanta. 3 years of this was on the SWAT team and 2 years on the Atlanta Fugitive Task Force.
Because of his job duties from 1981 to 2005, Elliott struggled with PTSD and anxiety issues due to situations and events he dealt with directly.
In 2006, he decided to make a career change. He became a Construction Project Manager. He got married to his Wife, Linda in June of 2010. He worked in this field until recently. Elliott has become unemployed and is having issues dealing with this and is having PTSD and anxiety issues brought on due to his unemployment status.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, the worst times of the year for depression. Getting back into the work force is tough. I want a buffer to help him in his transition back into the workforce and help with bills that accumulated during this time. Elliott is reaching out to professionals that can help him.
Elliott is a proud man. It took a lot for him to reach out and ask for help, as with most men. When he did, my ONLY answer I could give him was yes. We each are Our Brother's Keeper. Everyone has those times in their lives they need a helping hand. Now is the time that you can pay it forward, show your support and make a change. Elliott and his Wife will be grateful for any help and I know they will in turn, pay it forward when they are able.
I want to know that I helped someone who means a lot to me. Elliott is like a "big brother" to me. He took my hand as a young Paratrooper and showed me guidance, caring and understanding. I want to show him my appreciation by helping him in his time of need. Help me, help him. Thank you.
