Sasha's Mayo Clinic Fund

My name is Sasha. Over the course of almost four years I have been struggling with ill health. I know I don't look sick, and on paper, I shouldn't be. I'm only 31 years of age, very active, and eat well. However, at the beginning of October 2012, I began to have trouble breathing. Walking the dog winded me, and I had to force myself to go to work. Later that year, along with having fatigue and shortness of breath, I started coughing up yellow and red mucus. I didn't know what to do. I began to get tests done, and eventually put it on the back burner because money was tight. As my condition worsened, I was recommended to Mayo Clinic and decided something needed to be done. This disease, or whatever it was, was affecting my quality of life. With the help from my credit card and loans through Mayo, I was able to schedule my appointment in 2014. There I found out I had a collapsing trachea, the possibility of Wegner's disease, and staff infection in my throat. Over the past two years, I have had biopsies, consumed harmful medicines comparable to chemotherapy drugs, and multiple bronchoscopies. Recently, I found that I have Aspergillum bacterial colonies growing in my throat. It seems like when one thing is resolved, something else comes along. I have exhausted my personal funds, maxed out credit cards, and I am desperately in need of support. The costs of the treatment I have already received is preventing me from making further appointments. This mean I will have no one to oversee my medications and no checkups to even know if these risky treatments are working. I just want to be able to enjoy my life to the fullest as a young woman. This money is going strictly toward my medical bills, and I would greatly appreciate any sort of help you are willing to offer. Thank you so much for your support and generosity.
