Black Women’s Empowerment March

SURJ MKE will be collecting monetary donations and supply donations from now through September 29th for the Black Women’s Empowerment March. We’ve set an initial goal of $1500 to cover costs such as musicians, photographers, event supplies, and whatever else is needed for UBLAC to host this amazing event for our city. More about the march: UBLAC Milwaukee is hosting a march to highlight the intersectionality of Milwaukee’s past and emphasize the invisible struggles of Black Women, Trans and Queer people. Participants will not only march to build Black Power, Black Unity, Empowerment, Love & our Collective Voice, but to honor the late Vel Philips. We welcome the support of men and allies.
