Running to Support RVA Community Members in Need

Want to join me in making a difference in the RVA community? I am running a half marathon!!! For those of you that know me, I. Don't. Run. I pole vault! So, as a part of my participation in the 2020 Richmond Half Marathon, I will be raising money to benefit United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg. In short, United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg empowers individuals and addresses systemic problems to provide everyone with a clear path to success. They accomplish this by providing for basic needs such as food, safety, and housing, offering opportunities to receive financial and parental education, and much, much more! I am looking for sponsors, either by individual lump-sum donation or a pledged amount per mile that I run (13.1 miles in total)! Any contribution to this effort is GREATLY appreciated. I cannot even express how excited I am to unite with you in an effort to help support those in need in Richmond. It's heartbreaking that so many of our community members are struggling to survive while living in poverty and homelessness, but together, we can make a lasting impact that will not just be a "hand-out", but a "hand-up" to help our neighbors get the support they need. 

The fundraising will continue throughout October and will end on November 7th - Race Day!!
