CHS Mens & Womens Hitting Facility

Donation protected
To all of my Baseball loving friends back in SoCal G-Town as well as my friends and family across the nation…I am reaching out as a "1st timer" on Go Fund Me to help out my daughters High School Softball and Baseball teams build their first ever "Indoor Hitting/Practice" Facility.

Having been born and raised in the sunshine state of Southern California for over 50 years, good weather was always in abundance when it came to pretty much all sports and practicing outside. After living here in East Tennessee for almost 3 years now, these High Schools athletes don't get that sunny weather year around and they do practice a lot out in the elements of cold, windy, rainy, and yes snowy weather. For baseball and softball....that's a tough one.

Central High School is in a district where the vast majority of the other High Schools already have "indoor practice facilities" (also privately funded) and their teams have shown great improvement over the years because of these facilities. As a parent watching your child give 110% day in and day out and yet are not able to do the things that other schools are doing because of weather and not having an indoor place to go, it's disheartening to see. These kids leave it all on the field each and every day and I would simply like to see the playing (or practice fields) become more equal in opportunity for our CHS athletes.

The facility we are trying to build by the end of this summer will be "equally" used  and shared by both the Boys Baseball team as well as the Ladies Softball team. It will have room for hitting, pitching, and some light fielding drills. What this facility really provides is a place that these players can come and work out safely when the weather is working against them. 100% of all donations will be made (through me) to the CHS Hitting Facility.

I spent many, many years playing ball with a good many of you whether it was through Glendora Little League, Goddard JH, Glendora HS, or Men’s and Co-Ed Softball leagues and those were the best of times. I’d like to see the passion of Softball and Baseball live on for many years to come and this new Indoor Facility would give the up and coming players a chance to reach and play at a higher level. No donation is too small and any donation would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you!
